This Wine Vault assistant will recommend wine pairings based on food and guest preferences, providing extensive information about the wine and its winery. It aims to bridge the gap between traditional wine culture and digital technology, catering to both enthusiasts and industry professionals. The challenge posed is how to streamline data collection in an industry resistant to technology, proposing integration of online data fetching with citations for accuracy. This approach promises to expedite processes for restaurant management and make wine knowledge more accessible beyond traditional barriers of class status.

NAME: BOUND
DATE: 2019
MEDIUM: PRINT SERIESThis print reflects and highlights the ongoing conversation of relational boundaries in our society. We are so inundated with messages from social media about oneself, how to process emotions, how to create boundaries, who to love, who to hate, who to praise and cancel. So many of these messages have the intent to direct a person on the “right” track, but rather I see them as feeding people how to think, what to think, how to treat people and how to define relationships.

One of my main coping mechanisms was creating symbolic/metaphorical maps, mapping out the different types of selves I could identify; “liberated self”, “unlearning self”, “critical self”. Each of these prints signify the beginning of mapping out who I am and who I am becoming and the self as process.

This print was based on a tweet during the coverage of the concentration camps for kids of Mexican and other Latin American immigrants who were being detained, killed, violated & mistreated at the US border. Seeing the ways in which this country and planet have allowed deep trauma to sip into our current reality left me wanting to leave and relocate. Where? Still searching.
