Research
This piece explores ideas of living environments, activating a house
plant beyond an adornment or aesthetic choice to reveal it as a living
part of our environment. Using a microcontroller, I pick up the
electrical signals from a house plant and emit them as sound. The house
plant interacting with its environment becomes the MIDI player.
Positioning the house plant not as a passive sound-source, but as an
active agent in the dialogue.
